Looking Froward to a Great 2018-19 School Year at Dover-Eyota!!!!!
Prior to coming to Dover-Eyota, I taught Physical Education Grades 5-8 and Health 7 in Winona at St. Stan’s Middle School. I have coached varsity baseball and varsity girls' basketball, 7th grade boys basketball, 9th grade boys basketball, JV boys basketball, 7th & 8th softball as well as summer youth baseball and softball.
I grew up in a small central Wisconsin town of 300 people, thus the affinity for America's Team, the Green Bay Packers. As a young person I really enjoyed school, admired my teachers, and always felt that working with students was going to be my career of choice. I received my undergraduate and master’s degrees from Winona State University, and my principal licensure from St. Mary’s University.
I live in rural Dover with my wife Cindy. We have two daughters, Mattie Jo and Megan. Both girls attended DE and went on to attend Northwestern College in Orange City, IA. Both girls play soccer there as well. During my free time I enjoy riding horse (we have ridden at 25 different horse campgrounds/trails, in 7 different states), gardening, bow hunting and ice fishing.
I am very proud to be a Dover-Eyota Eagle! The parents are supportive, the students excel academically and the athletes practice and play to be champions. Our two girls received a great education and were able to be involved in many activities both athletic and academic. We have great facilities and are able to give our students many opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom.
Each day you have the opportunity to create your own yearbook. Use each day to add some additional pages. You will be surprised how much fun your school experience will be, once you begin looking back on the year it will surprise you at all the things that happened. Become involved, participate, try new things, and expand yourself!!! I am here to share my "tool box" with you and hopefully expand yours.
Let's have a great year!
