Some words of advice: Get the homework done and bring it to school! In the morning, I check their assignment notebooks to see if everything has been written in it, I collect any homework that is due, and I check for a parent's signature. I'm so proud of those who are responsible. Keeping track of late assignments is a teacher's nightmare! That's why I mark one wrong for a late paper.

Help from Parents!
If your child asks for help with homework, by all means, help them with it. You are giving your child the message that education is important. If your child is struggling with a particular skill, write me a note in the assignment notebook. I'll find some time to sit with him/her to further explain it. Please have your child do their homework with a pencil. Parents can be particularly helpful when a child is reviewing for a test and when we review the multiplication facts.
