This is my twelfth year teaching sixth grade at Dover-Eyota Schools.  Sixth graders are a wonderful combination of the youthful enthusiasm of children and the growing maturity of teens; they are truly "tweens."  I am enjoying the opportunity to guide my class as they begin the transition to their teen years.

Personal history - Raised on a small farm at Nodine, Minnesota, I graduated from Luther High in Onalaska and went on to earn a Sales and Management degree; later I attended Winona State University to complete my bachelor of science degree in elementary education, graduating summa cum laude.  Before coming to Dover-Eyota, I was a freelance writer for a local paper.

I currently live in Rushford, Minnesota with my husband Danny, a headend technician for HBC in Winona.  I enjoy water gardening, caning chairs, biking, traveling, computer usage, and reading in my spare time.

We have three grown children: Paul, an executive at Northwestern Mutual Financial Services in Milwaukee; Micah, a State Farm Insurance representative; Becca, an environmental education professor at University of Wisconsin, Steven's Point.  We have twelve grandchildren ranging in age from five to seventeen; we have a great time when we all get together!
