|Inflatables: For grades K-5th. Courtesy of the PATT fundraiser, PE on these two days will be spent climbing and racing and jumping on the inflatables! PATT will bring them once in the November and again in the spring (we hope!). Dates will be published in the newsletter!
Jump Rope/Hoops for Heart: February 2020
For grades 1st-5th. Help raise money for the American Heart Association and earn cool prizes while helping. All students will learn about and participate in jumping and/or hoops events during PE. Participation in the fundraiser is optional. Prizes distributed in April.
Packets will go home in late January and are due back by February 7th, 2020.
Activities Day: Friday, May 15th, 2020 for grades K-2. Kindergarten from 10:30-12:00, 1st & 2nd from 1:00-2:30. Soccer, kickball, free choice, and relays. Location: Elementary playground area.
Track & Field Day: Friday, May 22th, 2020 for grades 3rd-5th. Location: D-E HS track & field area.
Skating Days: Skating days in PE this year will begin in October for 1st-5th. Kindergartners will start in January. Skating will take place on PE days for 3rd-5th grade students and parents are not needed (but feel free to come skate with your kiddo if you desire!). K-2 students will skate according to the schedule below and we DO ENCOURAGE parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles to come help students get their gear strapped, buckled, Velcro'd so that kids get more skating time. The first day on the calendar will always be Bushman/Braun, second day Rowen/Tuohy (starting in January, no kindergarten skating until then). For first grades, day one on the calendar will be always be Clark/Rislow, day two Kobs/Rice. For second grades, day one will always be Loney/Eisenman, and day two will be Brinkman/Wolf.
January 23-24 -1st Kindergarten skate day
Bike Trip (4th Grade): In late September, 4th grade students will finish their bike unit with a bike trip to Lanesboro/Whalen to ride the trails. Parents are welcome (May have to drive self due to bus space) to join us! More info to come from your child's classroom teacher.
