FAFSA Free Application for Federal Student Aid, US Dept of Education:  www.fafsa.ed.gov
The FAFSA website is a first step in the financial aid process.  Two years ago there were new changes to the FAFSA. In past years students could not submit a FAFSA until January 1st.  Beginning two years ago, students can submit a FAFSA on October 1 rather than January 1 of the new year. Therefore, seniors can begin their FAFSA on October 1, 2019.  More information is provided on this website in addition to the introduction to financial aid link below.

Below are numerous online scholarship websites that provide information about scholarships from all over the country.  Generally, you create an account and the website generates scholarships that you may be eligible for.  Fastweb is one of the most well known and is the largest free online scholarship website in the United States.

Private Scholarships

1.  Rising Sund Lodge #49 Scholarship - $1,000 - Due April 10, 2020
Requirements:
- Graduating in spring, 2020
- Attending a 2 or 4 year college or vocational/technical school in the fall of 2020
- Complete a paper application

2. Poet Biorefining - $1,000 - Due March 15, 2020
Requirements:
- Senior student
- Complete application and one page essay

3. American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship - $500 - Due April 1, 2020
Requirements:
- Senior student
- Have a parent or grandparent that was a Legion member
- Planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college next year

4. American Legion Memorial Scholarship - $500 - Due April, 2020
Requirements:
- Senior student
- Have a parent or grandparent that was a Legion member
- Planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college next year

5. Science Ambassador Scholarship - $40,000 - Due December 9, 2019
Requirements:
- High school senior
- Application found at Science Ambassador

6. CC Bank's Young Scholars Scholarship - $2,000 (5 awards) - Due December 31, 2019
Requirements:
- Under the age of 30 and minimum GPA of 3.0
- Application found at CC Bank's Young Scholars
